This global social media project centres mainly around Twitter, but also features Facebook and Instagram s, which will be guest hosted by different industry professionals for certain periods of time that can range from a few days to a week.  atj

The objective is to showcase the dedication of staff in all areas of the industry and the high level of care given to Thoroughbreds at every stage of their lives.

The Thoroughbred Tales team is a group of ionate professionals from various parts of the industry headed by television presenter Sally Ann Grassick. The team also features trainer Sarah Lynam, journalists Aisling Crowe, Lizzy Sainty and Thom Malone and bloodstock agent Cathy
Grassick, among many others.

Sally Ann Grassick commented “The future of our industry is something we all felt very ionate about. There has been a lot in the media recently about showing racing off in a better light to the public. We were particularly inspired by the American social media initiative #IAmHorseRacing and the recent article by American racing broadcaster and former jockey Donna Brothers, which featured a call to arms for people in racing to flood social media with positive posts about racing rather than the negativity we see around major meetings like the Grand National.

After speaking with many industry professionals, we felt that now was the time to take things into our own hands through the medium of social media.

We have been delighted with the response; over 600 Twitter followers in our first weekend and multiple offers from people in all areas of racing and breeding to guest host the in the future.

This project will only work with the of the industry, so we need more followers in order to spread our message and we welcome all offers to guest host the s no matter what area of racing and breeding people are working in. Now is your chance to influence the future of racing!”

Thoroughbred Tales looks forward to announcing their first exciting guest host in the weeks to come.
