Fontwell Park provided the backdrop for local Jeremy Thomas’ celebrations after winning a model competition at the Aldingbourne Trust Country Centre.

Jeremy Thomas, aged 50 from Aldwick, won the “Guinea Pig Village” competition at the Aldingbourne Country Centre Family Fun Day with his recreation of Fontwell Park Racecourse.

s of the Aldingbourne Country Centre were tasked with the brief of creating a Famous Landmark in Sussex and Jeremy’s impression of Fontwell Park pipped racing rivals Goodwood and even Chichester Cathedral to the post.

Fontwell Business Development Executive Alex Killick volunteered at the Centre’s open day and was hugely impressed with Jeremy’s model creation. “It was great to see the time and extraordinary effort that Jeremy and others had put into their models and it was the least we could do to treat him and his family to a day at the races.”

The Aldingbourne Trust is a charity based in West Sussex that s adults with learning difficulties to develop skills which will enable them to live independently and find employment.
